"Shankar - Vikram - Deepika" Combo Coming Soon

Sensational director Shankar is getting ready to take his new film on the sets. As per the Chennai sources, the director is said to be preparing a new script which he is planning to start filming some time in May. Vikram is the hero. The latest reports claim that Shankar’s team is in talks with Deepika Padukone for casting her in the femalelead role. If Deepika utilizes this opportunity she will be lucky enough to be part of twogiant projects as she is already working for superstar Rajnikanth’s ‘Kochadaiyaan’. A R Rahman will compose the music. Eega Story Is Mixture Of ?

The clock is ticking for the release of the most talked about movie ‘Eega’ and an interesting buzz is making rounds. Apparently, the talk is that the story of the film has leaked and it is a mixture of three big blockbusters ‘Magadheera’ ‘Yamudiki Mogudu’ and ‘Robot’.

The line goes that Nani loves the heroine Samantha strongly and even villain Sudeep’s eye also falls on her. With that Sudeep kills Nani. Now, Nani’s soul comes out and he wants to take revenge so he is ready to take another birth. The divine power also says you can take revenge but Nani says he doesn’t want to take revenge in human form.

Because rebirth as a human will mean he has to go through the phases of growing for almost twenty years. He states that he needs something shortlived like a ‘Housefly’. The power asks how can you kill a human being with that form and Nani replies he will do it with his intelligence so he asks for a short lived form.

The lifespan of a housefly is 17 days and Nani says ok. So, before his lifespan is over, Nani has to kill the villain. That way, reincarnation concept of ‘Magadheera’ is taken, the technical aspects have taken an inspiration from ‘Robot’ and entering another body is taken from ‘Yamudiki Mogudu’. We don’t know how true this story is but the talk is strong.

 Director S S Rajamouli and his ability to churn out hits at the box office is known to all. But now, his ability as a director will be facing an acid test. This is through his forthcoming venture ‘Eega’. Touted as a graphical extravaganza with literally no hero, all expectations are on the tough taskmaster’s skills.

If ‘Eega’ becomes a hit then the new mantra is that even without stars also Rajamouli can create a hit. It will totally be his power and he will become a national legend. By default, any big director needs star power to improve credibility or to score a hit. But ‘Eega’ is offering something different here.

So, if Rajamouli can do it then great. The film is scheduled for a release in the month of May and we will know the power of Rajamouli once the film releases. The other challenge for him could also be the release of Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ in the same month. Let us see what happens.

Rajamouli:

Nicknamed as Jakkanna, he is famous for not delivering any flop movie till date. But, shockingly, none other than Magadheera, Maryada Ramanna and Student No.1 have brought profits to producers. They say ‘Sye’ movie burned the pockets of producer with 2 crore loss.

Krish:

After making ‘Vedam’ and ‘Gamyam’ Krish joined the elite group for his intellectual andphilosophical ideas. But, Vedam has turned out costly for producers. His latest venture ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ is a co-production with his own money and Suresh movies as a partner.

Deva Katta:

Though he talks and sounds smart, none of his movies have allowed producers a smile. Both, Vennela and Prasthanam are loss ventures and hence it took long time for him to commit a producer for his ‘Autonagar Surya’

Sekhar Kammula:

Both his award winning movies, Anand and Godavari made a big hole to his pocket as he is the producer too. While ‘Happy Days’ is a runaway hit, profits walked into distributor Dil Raju’s office. Still Sekhar is regarded as a sensible director.

To sum up, star directors are not someone who makes commercially successful flicks always. 

They just do an average movie with good feel that passes with audience before failing with producers. Cinema works on ‘trademark’ folks!

Slumdog Child-Star Rubina In British Film

Child star Rubina Ali who acted in the Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire, is starring in a British film where she will co-star with Hollywood veteran Anthony Hopkins.

The romantic comedy set to be filmed in India, England and Wales later this year is about a young Welsh nobleman who falls in love with an Indian girl. Former rugby player Gavin Henson is all set to make his acting debut with the film.

The film also features her Slumdog co-star Azharuddin Ismail. The 13-year-old actress said one of the best things about filming in England will be the chance to meet up with her Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle again.
